Niin hauskaa Fun

Tänään on monissa kodeissa juhlittu äitejä. Äitienpäivä on yksi merkittävimmistä juhlapäivistä meillä Suomessa.

Today we have celebrated Mother´s Day in almost every home in Finland. Mother's Day is one of the most important days of celebration here.

 Äitienpäivänä herkutellaan.

We feast on Mother´s Day.

On hauskaa myös pukea sievät vaatteet päälleen.

It is also fun to wear pretty clothes on.

Äidille hankitaan myös kauniita kukkia, usein ruusuja. Linnea on päättänyt kuitenkin antaa äidille orvokkeja.

Mother will get beautiful flowers, often roses. However, Linnea has decided to give her mother pansies.

Vappu The first of May

Linnea kattaa pöytää. Hänen parhaat ystävänsä ovat tulleet viettämään vappua Linnean luokse.

Linnea is laying the table. Her best friends are with her today. They are celebrating The 1st of May.

Pöydässä on simaa ja tippaleipiä. Lisäksi on perunalastuja, suolakeksejä, suolatikkuja ja dippikastiketta.

There are sima-juice made of lemons and wheat buns. In addition, potato chips, crackers, pretzels and dipping sauce.

I had to sew trousers with owl print to Linnea yesterday.  I crocheted also a lace sweater to her.

I have to admit that I will fulfil her every wish. I love her so much.

Ompelin Aavalle ja Hillallekin housut.

I sewed trousers for Aava and Hilla, too.

Tytöt ovat olleet iloisia. Kaikki ovat pukeutuneet värikkäästi. Heillä on myös vappuvihkat ja ilmapallot.

The girls have been glad of having colourful clothes, fans and balloons.

Mieluisia vieraita Small guests

Hilla ja Aava ovat vierailulla Linnean luona. Keltaiset tapetit ja vihreät matot ovat täydelliset heidän mielestään. He ihastelevat myös Linnea virkattua pitsijakkua, jota he eivät ole aikaisemmin nähneet.

Hilla and Aava are visiting Linnea´s kitchen. The yellow wallpapers and lime carpets are perfect for their opinion. They also admire Linnea´s crocheted lace jacket, which they have never seen.

Aava huomaa sivupöydällä olevan herkullisen näköisen täytekakun. Linnea on leiponut sen tytöille.

Aava notices a delicious-looking cake on the side table. Linnea has baked it for the girls

Tytöt istuvat nopeasti pöydän ääressä. Heitä ei tarvitse kahta kertaa pyytää.

The girls are sitting at the table quickly. They do not have to ask twice.

"Onko tässä nyt kaikki tarvittava?"-  miettii Linnea. "Kuuma vesi, maito ja kaakao. On kaikki"

"Is this all we need now?" - is Linnea thinking. "Hot water, milk, and cocoa. OK"

Tytöt halusivat juoda kaakaota täytekakun kanssa. Linnea tykkää itsekin kaakaosta.

The girls wanted to drink hot cocoa with the cake. Linnea likes also cocoa.

Happy Easter!

Keltainen on pääsiäisen väri. Linnealla on sen värinen mekko. Se on ostettu Vikyltä.

Yellow colour is perfect for Easter. Linnea has a yellow dress. It has been bought from Vicky.

Linnea on laittanut itselleen herkullisen aamiaisen makuuhuoneeseen. Hän on saanut söpön puputyynyn tuolinsa päälle.

Linnea has a delicious breakfast in her bedroom. She has got a cute bunny pillow on her chair.

Linnea on ostanut ystävilleen ja itseelleen makeisia. Onko näitä riittävästi?

Linnea has bought sweets to her frieds and of course for herself. Does she have them enough?

Hänellä on myös iso suklaamuna, jonka hän aikoo syödä yksin.

She has a big chocolate egg, which she is going to eat alone.

Iloista Pääsiäistä!       Happy Easter!

Pääsiäisvalmisteluja Easter preparations

Täällä on paljon munia!  Haluatko maalata tai värjätä niitä meidän kanssamme?

There are many eggs on the table! Do you want to help us in painting or dyeing?

Munien maalaaminen on hauskaa. Vesivärejä, siveltimiä ja munia on meille kaikille.

It is fun to paint or dye eggs. There are water colours, brushes and eggs for all of us.

 Pääsiäisvalmistelut on hyvä aloittaa nyt.

It is time to start the preparations for the Easter.

On aika etsiä vanhat koristeet ja tarkistaa, pitääkö ostaa tai tehdä jotain uutta. Muniva kana on ostettu Doloresista.

It is time to look for the old decorations and to check whether to buy or make something new. The nesting hen is from Dolores.
